Amira Louadah was born in Algiers. From 2014 to 2021, she studied design and visual arts at Ensci, les Ateliers de Paris, where she developed a passion for staging and storytelling. During her studies, she embarked on formative journeys, including stays in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and New York City, United States, where she began capturing her first field experiences.
Fascinated by languages in various forms – design, video, color, objects, materials, words, workshops, etc. – she translates her intercultural experiences into artistic exploration or employs them as tools for reflection, aiming to facilitate mediation: the circulation of imaginaries, narratives, and voices.
Her filmography includes ‘La grosse moula ou li michan’ (2020). Her latest film, ‘L’Arche’ (2022), received the Renaud Victor Award at FID Marseille and was selected for the official competition at several festivals, including the Camden Film Festival, RIDM, and the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival.
