Audrée Anid

Audrée Anid is an artist, curator, and writer. Audrée was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Lebanese immigrant parents and was raised in New York City. She holds a BA from Wesleyan University in Connecticut and an MA from Teachers College, Columbia University in New York. Her visual art practice spans photography, painting, and printmaking; often exploring fragmentation, memory, lineage and loss. Her work has been exhibited at various venues in New York including BRIC and NARS Foundation, and in Beirut at the Beit Beirut, Museum and Urban Cultural Center, among others. She has been featured in publications including L’Orient-Le Jour, Oxford American, and Tribe Photo Magazine

Audrée has spent over a decade working in the commercial and nonprofit arts sector of New York City and is currently the Director of Special Projects at James Cohan, New York. While at the gallery, she curated the group exhibition Borders in 2019 and more recently, A Través in 2022. She has overseen solo exhibitions and global art fair presentations by artists including Gauri Gill, Jordan Nassar, Toshiko Takaezu, Elsa Gramcko, Shinichi Sawada, Tecla Tofano, and Monir Shahroudy Farmanfarmaian. Her projects have been mentioned in The New York Times, The New Yorker, Artnews, and New York Magazine. She is based in Brooklyn, New York.
