Engie Ezeldin

Engie also known as Jojja is anEgyptian multidisciplinary artist based in both Cairo and New York City. She studied fine arts at Parsons the School Design in New York and ever since graduating from the program, she has been moving between Cairo and New York, finding inspiration that feeds  into her body of work. Her work relies on both illustration and animation.

Her body of work is an extension of her lived experiences An extension of her lived experiences with family, friends and loved ones, Engie’s body of work follows a coming of age theme that explores topics of dialogue, internal monologue and womanhood as she floats between her two homes, NYC and Cairo. The Egyptian artist experiments with a colorful array of mediums to create scenes that are familiar yet surreal. A healing release, a tribute to love, friendship and hot Cheetos. Her work feels strangely comforting and unexpectedly intimate.
