Valia Abou AlFadel

Valia Abou AlFadel, a distinguished Syrian artist known for her proficiency in illustration and creative art direction, has made significant contributions to the world of visual arts. A graduate of “The High Institute of Fine Arts and civil preparatory education,” Valia is a proud member of the Union of Plastic Artists in Syria and holds a prestigious GOLDEN RESIDENCY from Dubai Culture and Art Authority, awarded in 2020. Her diverse skills encompass press drawing, digital art, editorial design, and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite CC and After Effects.

Valia has showcased her artistic prowess in 41 group exhibitions, earning recognition for her exceptional talent. Among these, the 2022 “Union of Cultures” group exhibition at Sultan Bin Al Owais Cultural Center in Dubai stands out, as well as the “Philosophy of Food” group exhibition at Tashkeel Studios in Dubai. In 2021, she participated in “Painting a Better World,” an event recognizing the Sustainable Development Goals through the Arts exhibit contributors, in collaboration with the UN and Zeeart Gallery at Expo Dubai 2020.

Her remarkable virtual solo exhibition, “Color from the Sky,” hosted by Dar Mada Cultural in Syria in 2020, demonstrated her ability to navigate the digital realm. Valia has also left her mark in international exhibitions, such as the “Common Ground” exhibition with Arabesque Gallery at Central Park DIFC Dubai in 2019 and the “Balance for Better” exhibition by Clifford Chance at Sconci Gallery in DIFC Dubai.

Valia’s artistic journey includes prestigious milestones like introducing her new acrylic artwork at St. Regis Dubai in 2018 and the “Addition to London” exhibition at Stories Art Gallery in Mayfair, London. She received recognition at the Tirana International Watercolor Biennale in Albania in 2017 and showcased her work at the World Art Dubai Art Fair in 2015.

Valia’s paintings adorn the Ministry of Culture and various foreign embassies in Syria and the UAE, highlighting the universal appeal of her art. Noteworthy awards include being ranked among the top 20 international artists in “Let the Water” with IWS Latin America and securing the third place in the “Happiness” International Watercolour Festival UAE. Valia Abou AlFadel continues to captivate audiences worldwide with her unique artistic vision and unwavering dedication to the craft.
