Malak Shenouda is a curator based in Egypt. Most recently, Shenouda joined ALDAU Development in 2022 as curator and head of arts and events for the establishment of their new subsidiary ADD Art. Before that she acted as executive director and cultural programs head at the art consultancy Art D’Egypte for five years. She’s had extensive experience with partnerships and collaborations, art management and cultural programming.
She got her bachelor degree in visual art and sociology at the American University in Cairo (AUC) in 2018 and has worked with artists and cultural initiatives in Egypt, London, and Berlin ever since. Shenouda was recently selected by the US Embassy to take part in their capacity building course “The Cycle: Management of Successful Arts and Culture Organization” by The Devos Institute of Arts Management at the University of Maryland. Her essay is also scheduled to be published in the annual journal of Sharjah’s Museum in the Middle East and North Africa.
